YSL Beauty Hotel

I had the opportunity to attend the YSL beauty hotel a couple weeks back and I was captivated both by the aesthetic of the interior, but also the products that are new to the market.

For those of you unfamiliar with the brand, YSL is a French luxury fashion house founded by Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Berge. The beauty hotel first launched last January in Paris and has travelled to different cities such as London, New York and Hong Kong. When I found out the beauty hotel was coming to Toronto I HAD to check it out.

The hotel was designed to be picture perfect (which is convenient when you’re a blogger) but they also had a full makeup artist team in case you need a quick touch up.. or in my case a little bit of highlight. In this blog post I’ll be giving you a look at the hotel as well as some of their products.

The first product is the moisturizing prep lotion which has walnut leaf extract and hyaluronic acid moisturizing your skin up to 24 hours. This is such a fun product because it foams when you use it as opposed to other products which just comes out as a liquid.

If you’re looking for a vibrant red, check out the Rouge pur Couture the slim. It’s a very sleek matte lipstick but in the unique shape of of a square instead of the usual sharp diagonal tip. The all hours foundation stick is waterproof and lasts up to 24 hours and is super light weight. It’s the perfect size to fit in your bag and take with you on the go.

As for fragrance (my favourite) They offer two new options. The Black Opium which is now available in a click and go stick (the perfect travel companion and fits just about anywhere) And for men, the Eau de Perfume version of Y. I always loved the original Y, but this version that Dominique Ropion created is a more masculine and spicy scent. (More about the cologne on my next post)

Looking forward to seeing what YSL has in store next. I was so happy to have the opportunity to attend the event, and excited to see where the hotel pops up next!
